Single treadle castle-type spinning wheel for sale as owner is moving to Ontario. Works well and is easy to spin on. $200 -- bargain price. Phone contact: 250-248-4561
This wheel is for sale at 2nd Chance thrift store in Parksville for $85.00. Everything is there but the footman is cracked. Could you spread the word? The thrift store supports a charity called Workability in our area.
I received the following note and pictures and am hoping that one of you (Karen, you may also ask the Thursday Spinners for input) may be able to help Sarah and her mom come up with a value for the wheel or know of someone who’d love to own it. Sarah’s contact address is below the message; please get in touch with her if you can answer her questions.
My mom and I have begun the downsizing of her house. One of the items is an antique spinning wheel that came from Ontario. It was an antique when she got it in the 60's. It is still completely functional, with the miner spindle intact, with black ebony. I was hoping that maybe you or one of the guild members might know its approximate worth? Or maybe someone might express an interest in buying it? Thank you for your time. Sarah Abbott email@example.com
